He’s selling the power head for 2200 and is generously throwing in the bar and chain to sweeten the deal. He’s sold a lot of saws on here.I am confused with $2200 shipped PowerHeadOnly and will throw in a new 20" or 25" bar and chain, which is it PHO or with B&C and secondly which 25" B&C? I am about fed up with my 572XP hot start issues.![]()
Everyone tells me the 5 series hot start issues are long gone but I still keep hearing about people having issues. Not many 5 series users up here anymore, either running 3 series huskies or switched to Stihl.I am confused with $2200 shipped PowerHeadOnly and will throw in a new 20" or 25" bar and chain, which is it PHO or with B&C and secondly which 25" B&C? I don't know if it was just a local gas situation or what, but my local dealer must have had a dozen saws in for hot start issues last week. Mix of Stihl & Husky, but they were all autotune/mtronic. The weather has been pretty warm from around here, which I'm guessing played into it. At any rate, it seems like the m-tronic/autotune run the tune on the edge of lean which makes for an extra hot saw.Everyone tells me the 5 series hot start issues are long gone but I still keep hearing about people having issues. My 400 did it one time and I got new fuel and had no more issues. Some stations don’t go through much 91 and have old winter spring blends that vaporize way to easy and will vapor lock the saw in hot weather. My buddy at Stihl said all fuels will eventually but if you have the issue canned gas will take the hottest weather the best so he said if I have cutting in extreme heat to have some canned gas. Said it’s expensive but it will work if you need to finish something when nothing else will.I don't know if it was just a local gas situation or what, but my local dealer must have had a dozen saws in for hot start issues last week. Last Fridays afternoon temps mid 90s felling and bucking saw and veneer logs, 572 hot start issue no start issue cutting partner using gas from the same can of 91 non oxy offroad in his 372s and I used fuel from the same can of gas to finish the day with a G444.My 400 did it one time and I got new fuel and had no more issues. Definitely not saying it had to be a fuel issue and not a saw issue was just passing on what happened to me once and what my buddy at Stihl said. After I bought new gas from a different store it didn’t happen anymore.Last Fridays afternoon temps mid 90s felling and bucking saw and veneer logs, 572 hot start issue no start issue cutting partner using gas from the same can of 91 non oxy offroad in his 372s and I used fuel from the same can of gas to finish the day with a G444.
