I'm not sure what a 661 goes for down here, but I think MSRP on a 362 is $729. If a 661 is $500 more that'd be $1229, which sounds about right. The difference I see is that down here, the $500 difference (assuming that's what it is) is much greater when represented as a percentage of the total price. I mean, you gotta add another 68% of what the 362 goes for to get a 661. When both prices go up to get you heated handles, then the difference is still $500, but it's maybe only another 45-50% more than the 362.

I tried pushing for a date but if anyone knows they are keeping their lips sealed.

Right now Stihl Canada is pushing dealers for Spring Bookings of lawn and garden equipment.

If I had to guess first of the year would be earliest now and I don't think even that soon.

I again reinforced that I needed 4 Arctic's as soon as they came out...

Thanks for the reminder Jeff.

Canadian dollar is down almsot everyday the last month and the annual Warm Up To Winter sale starts in about 2 weeks.

Best time all year to get yourself an Arctic saw.

I talked to my dealer today. He's expecting an announcement Friday telling him which saws are on sale. He says he's going to call me, but if not then it won't be until January 2nd or 3rd.

We made it to 34f today, first day time high above freezing this month. About a foot of snow on the ground but really not too bad. Going to get cold for the weekend though.
