I have a new, never started, Jonsered 2260. This is my first electronic carb. I have heard the preferred method for getting the AutoTune going good, is to put it right into wood for the first 5 minutes. Is this correct? I know I will probably muffler mod it, so should I do it now, before I start it? Makes sense to me to do it now, so the AutoTune can compensate for it right away, but if there is a compelling reason not to do it I'll leave it alone for now.
Also, is there a thread for doing a MM on a 2260? I couldn't find anything. Same as a 562XP? I haven't even looked at it yet, but figured I'd start with some questions. Hopefully someone with more knowledge will chime in.

Thanks

I have had a 562 for 2 years with a stock muffler. I would run it stock for awhile and see how you like it.

It would probably run cooler with it opened up. Might sound cooler as well. Lol

If you need to be concerned on the Warranty then leave it ...if not...then getting some heat out of the front end is a good thing I feel . Never worked on the J red but have modded the 560xp for better flow. The Auto tune sorted itself out on the saw I did which was well used so dont see there being much of a bother retro modding if you were to leave it for a while.

Thanks for the input guys!
I'll just do the MM right off the bat then. I'm not concerned about the warranty. I do my own saw work, so I'll take responsibility if something goes wrong.
