No, so far only the request to delete my recent Facebook posts about the new 545/550 in the biggest german Husqvarna group from a Husqvarna ambassador, he also asked me about my sources :cop: The presentation in Malta was closed to the public, technical details and the pictures as well. These should be kept under lock and key until the launch date. The dealers who were invited had to sign a declaration that they do not give any information or pictures to third parties before launch date. We know, one of them probably did not take it so seriously :roto2nuse: the internet has it forever now

I do not know why Husqvarna makes such a secret out of the saw, maybe they do not want to slow down the sales of the old version. I mean, Husqvarna was almost forced to bury the old version and completely rebuild it due to so much thermal problems. You can hardly tell the customer something like that if you want to sell the old version till the new one is out. But don't know, only my opinion :crazylick:

What old versions?

550's have been on backorder for a month now here in the US, and the projected date is another month out. I'm HOPING that the new ones will just show up in their place, but I have no idea if that will actually happen or not. I have been told "first quarter" on this year. But I'm still doubtful due to there being no IPL or parts info at all on the dealer site. They never launch a saw without having parts support in place.

Looks like this week is the global announcement, the countdown's on all international husqvarna social channels. It's nice that we only have to wait a bit over a month to have them in the US (supposedly...), it's been 17 months since the 572 announcement, still can't get it, nor the new chain or bars in north america. Many Europeans have had the 572 out working for well over a year now.

They're saying Husqvarna will come with an global announcement Thursday this week.
Should be 2 new pro models, we all think 550 is one of them, question is which is the other one..

I assume 545, the sticker on it says "professional" after all. Of course the popular option would be a 590/595, but I assume that would've leaked by now. Sounds like the 562 updates will be evolutionary and not announcement-worthy.

Those of us still clinging to the few shreds left of a once great brand......................:tiburon:

.
I think we are the only two guys wondering if Redmax will get any new red Husky saws. Lol

We do have a few dealers around that switched to carrying Redmax saws. Two of them that I know of only started carrying Jonsered a couple years ago-and actually made a good solid effort to support the brand. Damn shame to pull the rug out from them a second time.

Seriously, the key to any of the new models finding their way into the Red Max catalog will depend on how well the models that are already there are doing sales wise. Red Max has to be accepted as a saw brand, not just a landscaper tool company.
