Hi all, seems that the damns chipmunks had a smorgasbord on my Splitter engine fuel tank.
So many holes, plastic melting probably not feasable.
Looking for part BS-699392
Cant find it anywhere, all state discontinued.
Maybe somebody has one on an old project engine laying around ?
Pic for referencs.

I have several engines of similar size. What is the engine model and family number?

That's kind of an odd one, with the gas tank and shroud in one piece. All the Quantum engines I have seen have a separate tank and shroud setup, very common on lawnmowers. Can you retrofit the separate tank and shroud on your engine? Check out part number 699374. I pick up complete lawnmowers with engines for free on the side of the road all the time. A cheap/no cost option if it fits.

Around here they seem to like to chew up the caps on the tanks. Maybe our rodents are more connoisseur-like?

Realizing it could matter about the looks or resell ability. Or just simply prefering not to.
Any chance for mounting an off-board tank, like some of the commercial push mowers used to run? Of course it would take a little fabrication for a mounting bracket. Perhaps an old style rectangular tank like Tecumseh used on their horizontal engines?
