This is a new model, not as sparky as the first rendition.

That picture it's hard to tell which color the sticker is. It could just be my eyes thou, grandma tried to warned me....

Both the V1's that I had the sticker was horizontal and on the flywheel side of the case.

The V2 that I have the sticker is vertical and on the PTO side of the case.

2020 is when they switched over to the new Piston and Cylinder.

Hmmm. I thought any 462 manufactured before April 2021 and serial # 190015190 is a version 1 462, but I don’t have quite the hardon for 462s that you do so…

All the 462s I have that have a vertical sticker on the front are the newer style piston and cylinder, maybe it was early 21 I don't really remember, I didn't write it down it my diary.

I bought a 661 one time brand new that the tank handle said it was a 22 model but the serial number said it was made in 23..so I don't really know how all that works.

Boy, I'm sorry if I steered anyone wrong by mentioning this is an old version 462, I might have to eat my words! Maybe that darn vertical sticker means more than the build date??

With all the great discussion regarding the DOM and sticker placement on the 462 saws I dug out (5) new Arctic models and took some pics.

Saws #1-3 are 1/2 wrap Arctic and saws #4-5 are 3/4 wrap Arctic. Everyone can compare and contrast DOM, sticker placement and serial numbers

I thought it was pretty cut and dried too. It seems like this saw is a v1 regardless of where the sticker is, but Randy has seen way more 462s than I have so I’ll defer to him.

Every one I've seen with a vertical silver sticker has been a version two.
