] I'm wondering if I got a dud, or if trying to save $50 on a tach a dumb idea.
It works fine with the cable attached, but that's not how i want to use it. I was hoping I could hold it in my non trigger hand and read RPMs while still holding the handlebar. Like this:
That however does not work at all.
Instead I have to hold the jack where the cable attaches at the absolute closest point to the plug. Like this:
The battery is a brand new Duracell. Should I try to return it, and get a replacement, or should I swallow the bullet and get a tiny tach?
On the bright side, with the cable attached, my ms460 topped out at 13,700 after I tuned it by ear, so as least my pea brain isn't totally way off.
And yes, this whole thread is just an excuse to show off my soft smooth hands on opeforum...
