My 046 heated handle felt about the same as the 461 weight wise. Never cared enough to weigh them. The 461 feels better in the hands however because it balances bars better than a 46 or 44.

Not sure why I put mine on the scale either, just for entertainment I guess?!@

I know which ones I like, and why, and weight has nothing to do with it.

Balance is greatly affected by the length and type of bar you are running.

I am picky about the bars that I use. Much prefer a 20" E bar over the nose heavy ES, like the NLA 24" E bars, and the 28" Stihl Light bars, but they are expensive.

Blanket statements about which saw balances bars better seem foolish to me, as it depends on what bar you are talking about.

If you stated it balances long or heavy bars better, it would be a more meaningful comment, IMO.

I’ve ran this 461 here extensively back to back with a 046 and many other saws. Yes, it balances a 24 or 28” standard bar better than a 046 or 044. It’s a improvement in a few ways over other 1128’s.

Why not spend some extra $$$ on a better rated shelf and not have all the worries?

Arctic option adds quite a bit of weight on .
When I stripped down my 066 Arctic (heated carb only) The generator coil , the extra magnets on the arctic flywheel and all the wiring, elements and thermostat add up. Wrote the figure down somewhere.
Some of those Stihl Canada specs can be easily miss printed as some Arctic packages come with either heated handles or carb....or both.

I haven't seen a saw yet that doesn't break down, unless it never gets used.

I don't mean that a saw will never have any issues or failures I am referring to one being completely unreliable

Well we already know the 462 looks awesome with a 32" but 'tarded with a 33"

You could always go with some 92dl .325
Bigger numbers= better.
