I'd guess the dark cylinder material looked fishy, dark aluminum cylinders tend to be a/m, whereas shiny alum ones tend to be oem.

Used to be the case. Not so much lately. 661, 500, 462, 261…they’re all medium gray. The new 361 and I believe 441 cylinders are very dark gray

That jug is oem. The grease pen mark and the marked “R“ or other marking are quite common on them from the factory.
