Long story short I started this build awhile ago and lost interest. The saw should be 100% except for the carburetor. I started converting it to an 044 carb, got it to run once and then it refused to stay running several days later. I haven't touched it since, so it may just be a tuning issue. I don't feel like diagnosing and fixing it, hence the "project saw" title

New oem parts on the saw are all new gaskets/seals, crank bearings, fuel line, impulse hose (for 044 boot conversion), wide discharge clutch cover + spikes, coil, and a few misc smalls. I installed a new Meteor piston when I had it apart and a good used 044 intake boot. The muffler is an a/m muffler with a 2nd port I added, it'll also come with an umolested a/m muffler. It also has a USA brand (I think) FULL WRAP, not the oem 3/4 wrap. It'll also come with a factory 1/2 wrap and a few other misc smalls for it. It had some chain rash on the bar pad that's been welded, so structurally 110% but it looks a little rough. I included a picture of the welded area.

I'm not really sure how to price this with the wrap, $400 + the ride seems like an okay start, but feel free to make an offer or tell me if I'm outta line.

does the max flow filter just bolt right up on a 361? I’ve never seen or ran a 361

Almost a direct bolt on. I had to rasp a ~1/4 deep crescent out of the bottom lip of the filter cage for it to clear the intake horn, but everything else fits without modifications. Pic of the work below:

That’s pretty sweet. I like the setup for the type of wood that we have around here in the national forest: thickly wooded lodgepole pine forest with wood that isn’t often past 20” diameter. A saw like this would be perfect for the timber sale loggers. I set up my 034 Super for that type of stuff. I just wish it could run a max flow.

Yep, a wrapped 60cc saw with a longer light bar is exactly what I had in mind with this, but life coupled with me owning a perfectly fine 562 has changed my plans. I've already got more saws than I really need, and this guy is the last one that isn't either sentimental or a favorite user.
