I'd like to try a 241cm, heard they are great saws.

I looked at the 241 but you are stuck with a spur clutch drum and lo-pro chain. Fine for most but I prefer .325. At the time I also had a Husky 543xp.

That's what I was thinking.

Do you have a 545 or 550xp, and if so how do you think they compare to the 261?

The only 50cc Husky I've run is a 346, and only for a minute. A friend of mine just got his hands on a 550, though, so hopefully we can run them side by side before too long.

I do like the 261 a lot, though. In spite of the flippy caps.

Don't they make some kind of kit to convert to .325? I remember reading it somewhere.

Seems like they should, and maybe do, but the dealer I talked to said no. Otherwise looks like a really nice little saw and very light.

Ok good. Maybe the guy I talked to didn't look very hard and assumed lo-pro was the only option.

Ya, you can run a .325 rim setup with the 241cm, many guys here in OZ do as the picco gets a bit beaten up in our woods. If our wood was not so friggin hard I'd run PS Picco with a 8pin on my MS261. That would be wicked fast in the right wood.

Got to say I'm really liking this 357xp I fixed up recently. It feels around the same weight as my 346xp was and seems to cut pretty good in frozen wood.
