Have a new ms261 m-tronic that I bought maybe 6 months ago. I have probably 6 tanks through it. It bogs terrible when first started for a while until it is very warm. It seems to not be as bad when ran in the cold start for about 30 seconds. Once warm It bogs and hesitates off idle with a full trigger squeeze then spools up fine and has no other issues running. It did bog and die once, other times it just hesitates. I run Sunoco optima canned fuel and maxima formula K oil at 40:1. I did a m-tronic reset once a few tanks ago. I’m sure the saw is still breaking in, but is this normal behavior from the 261’s? This is my first m-tronic saw so I’m still getting used to them. I also have a new 462 m-tronic I haven’t fired yet.

Let idle in cold start pos for 30-60 seconds, hold throttle until rpm’s go through the range and then end at idle, as stated in manual

Not normal behavior at all. Take it back to the dealer.
