@blsnelling
which version do you mean? The MS 241 was updated in late 2014 from serial (us production) 501 125 787 and got a carb change to Zama. Parts from the newer version are not compatible to the older version, there were a lot of changes.
You talk from the newest version. I think you mean the Zama ones. There are 3 different ones depending on the exact version of the MS 241.
Mine is way before the break at 298083834.The carburetor you have depends on your version (see my serial break). Before that serial Walbro carb (older version of the MS 241), from that serial, Zama carb (newer revised MS 241). So if you have the Walbro carb, you can only use the Walbro carb on your saw.
These boyz are Mtronic... so, nahWould a WT194 fit on this 241?
Mine has a slight stumble coming off idle if left to idle for a bit. I'll have to check my SN. I think it's prior to the changes. If that many changes were made, perhaps I should just buy a new saw, swap my cylinder, and sell mine stock/used.
You have a WTF-1B carburetor. The 331 is not the model description, it can be a production code as far as I now.
Edit: I did some research and the 331 on that carb is the production date (week 31 in 2013), the one with 408 is (week 08 in 2014).
Hrm, let me check something and get back to you...
Why do you think the saw isn't a 2015? It's unlikely but Stihl could have thrown in an old carb from the bottom of the barrel. They could have been shipped an ope carb or it could have been swapped out at some point. But yeah, it's probably not a 2015 saw.
My point was I purchased this 331 carb in 2019 and was told it was manufactured after 2015.
BTW are these WTF solenoids easy to service?
