MR. CHARLIE GOOCH aka AMBERG

Folks,
With Mrs. Marsha Gooch’s blessing and permission, I have some sad news to convey. Mr. Charlie Gooch, aka @amberg passed away suddenly and unexpectedly yesterday afternoon. A lot of you remember Charlie in the Grilling and Smoking Thread, What’s For Dinner Thread, Farming Thread, and a few of the Hunting Threads.

He was a good, hard-working man and I had the pleasure of texting and pm conversation with him over the past few years. We had countless conversations about grilling/smoking, dove hunting, shooting coyotes, guns, ammo, etc, you name it. He loved his wife Marsha, and loved and cherished their daughter Amber…he talked about them often.

Please keep wife Marsha, daughter Amber, and the rest of their family in your thoughts and prayers. Charlie will certainly be missed.

I haven’t been in the Smoking and Grilling thread much lately but I always enjoyed Charlie’ exuberance for what anyone was cooking. He will be missed.

Damn!
Charlie was one of the good guys. I always enjoyed our conversations about guns, hunting, family, food and farming. He got me into sausage making and I helped him along with his efforts, as did you, when he got his first smoker.
He was always gracious, appreciative and was a stand up guy.
I'm really going to miss him!!!

Rest Easy Charlie, I'm sure CiCi is glad to have you home.

Damn it man. Hate to hear this, he always had good things to say about my grilling and smoking wether it was edible or not. My condolences go out to the family and friends of Charlie at these rough times. Jason thanks for keeping us informed so he didnt get forgotten about around the holidays. May everyones glass get raised tonite in memory of Charlie.

Yessir…smoked a few leg qtrs and thighs this afternoon. 8lb turkey breast going on the Weber around mid-morning tomorrow.
