p&v testing it today. Everything is good except the decomp. valve ,where the cylinder is cut into below the peak of the jug, leaks pretty good. Everything else is fine. What do you use to plug that decomp. Valve because a regular plug is too short? Everything else is fine that I know of. Also, took off the flywheel and it is double keyed (oops). Its got a dogleg type coil on it and the flywheel says 1203. Which slot do I put it in looking at the face of the flywheel? I think it goes in the right slot, but not sure. Any help is appreciated.

There should be a letter over or nearby each slot, like P or X. I can't remember off the top of my head which is for the unlimited coil but I think it's X.

I think B is correct on that flywheel. Yes, that looks like the unlimited coil. The silver component marked "IIDA" is the ignition trigger. The limited coil is a CDIC unit similar to those on the early 064 and 066.

Its definately not like a CDIC coil. Thanks for coming to the rescue again. You know what up with the decomp. Valve? Weird setup. Never seen anything like it. Why would they cut into the cylinder below the crown of the cylinder to expose a piece of the decomp. valve?

I've never understood that either. The only thing I can think of is that it's something to do with the machining process for finishing that port, and maybe making sure that it doesn't clog with carbon.

The last problem valve I had was on an 090, if the stem is removable as the 090 is then remove the stem, coat it with JB weld then reinstall. I then fill the "hole" inside the cylinder where the decomp is if you get me with JB weld til it's flush with the squish band.

Once it's all dry get a beat up piston and glue some sand paper to the top, slide it up and spin it a few times to see if there's any high spots on your epoxy. You'll know by the presence or absence of a clean shiny squish band

There's probably better ways, but that's how I did the last one as the stem would come out but the body of the decomp refused to move
