The 10mm crank was pretty worn. The cage was real shiny, that's a bad sign.

I think this 044 would be my favorite to really work with. It's tuned to 15,000 rpm and would run higher.

I was going to ask what that tach was reading. Square trees are so nice for holding your tach and screwdriver handy

My first Stihl was a 10mm 044, I have been totally hooked on them ever after. Have a fair amount of them in my herd, nice work Randy.

Randy hooked up my 10mm 044 this past winter. He made a great saw even better. It revs a lot higher now Im not scared to throw my 28" Sugi on it either

When I got my saw back from Randy, i also had just finished putting back together a 10mm 044 project saw. I ran both saws back to back, so that i could see the performance difference.
