arrived to day and i performed my first test on a troublesome 028 av that just wouldn't(i couldn't ever get to) idle and also used to cut out when hot.
Thought they was some kind of problem with the mityvac because the thing wouldnt pressure up.
then whilst pumping i sprayed the flywheel side lol......bubbles galore.
the pto side was fine but the seals came in a kit so ive changed both.
two questions thus-

1/ is it common for the handle mechanism to work loose on these pumps? mine seems kind of loose and actually came apart?

2/ although the seal was pissing out air under pressure it held for 5 minutes under vac and did not drop at all?
i thought if the seal was that badly knackered on positive pressure i thought it would also piss out/in under negative vac?

i have so much to learn lol.

Also note that those line adaptor fittings in the 8500 kit will leak too. Had to rework mine due the molding are not that smooth.
