It’s about $46 here. I’m probably $175 in parts right now and hopefully it’ll runI'm fixing up a 661 atm from the bottom up . You will have to re mortgage your house for the intake boot haha . Cost me $90nzd for mine !! Can't get over that lol
I'm about the same as you . I've just assembled the bottom end . Can't beat that feeling after re building a saw and hearing it fire for the first timeIt’s about $46 here. I’m probably $175 in parts right now and hopefully it’ll run
Yeah duno what I was upto . But yeah stihl overcharge something chronicNice Edit...
I sold a lot of my stihl stuff off just because of parts prices and stopped buying them but this just fell into place. I’ve been running a 365 Special i built from scrap yard saws. I was buying up all the MS261s around here and trying to build them but between missing covers and rubber parts I’d be buying $150 in parts plus bar and chain to complete a saw that’s worth $300.DANG!
Stihl hates people & charges CRIMINAL prices...
I got lucky and Al’s saw shop had the dawgs, clutch cover, and air filter cover for $83 to my door. The new stuff was $93 including the $49 intake boot. If it was for Al’s it would have been a bit more. The picture is what was $93 for a handful.Truly hard to believe you obtained and installed all those parts for less than $180 and the saw runs as it should. Congratulations!
This is a 2019 so I’m hoping it’s past the m tronic issues. I’m going to cut with it today if I can find where I put my chains.Nice ! Grats on getting it going ! I put mine together and was having issues with the m tronic not wanting to idle , changed the solenoid and it helped
I’m going oem. Ordered what looks like a good used one this afternoonDon’t go AM on the brake flag… that’s like using one of these lollys as a seatbelt..
