I'm looking to sell my mint 254! It has about 10 tanks through it after being ported by @Termitebuffet of zoo city saw's. This think just rips and is only going to get stronger. It's blowing 205psi at the time of the compression test. I would like to get $600 obo plus the ride pho! This saw just stomped my KS HDA 87 262. Here is some videos of it. I'm having trouble putting up pic's but they are available.

254xp is an iconic Husq model. It's right there with the 242xp, 262xp, and 288xp. Ive had 2. One was set up with a 262 hda 87 carb and it was a Mo'Fo. My last one was a beautiful 254xpg that I bought and sent to Randy for porting. Upon completion, he sent me a pm and said, "Im gonna need to talk you out of this saw." So we wound up doing a trade for port work. I had no intention of parting with that saw, but his friendship means more than any saw I own. He later returned the favor and offered his 655bp to me. :campeon: Good people surround themselves with good people. ;) @Mastermind

Your absolutely correct Steven! These saws are very underestimated and have hidden in the shadow's of the 262. I had a very nice 154 also that I got rid of in a trade for port work. Now it resides @rattler house.

Found info a future buyer might like.

I had a like new one and had a 254 and 325 at the same time to test out.

Here were my thoughts after testing the husky 254xp out, back in 2008.

What a saw 45mm bore 34mm stroke , just running it for a short time. Runs like the Poulan 325 46mm bore 32mm stroke, but feels more balanced and nimble in my hands.

I was very impressed with the 254 I had.
