Well then, I’m right there with them. I played guitar in an AC DC tribute band here in Atlanta for several years. Love em! My ears (unfortunately) are toast. I’m getting along, but regret decisions I made in my youth. Damage done by loud guitar/bass amps. As a 16 year old I’d naturally listen to my 8-track on the way home late at night following a gig. I’d usually be in bed by 3:00 and if I was lucky , sleep till noon. I’d get up, jump in the car and push the tape in from the night before…BOOM!!! As the speakers do their best to leap from the door I realize that the volume setting from last night is not needed this morning. I continued to play music throughout my life and lost most of my hearing along the way. I’m sorry to say that chainsaws are not that loud to me.
I got talent, just not very smart.
