We have a Dolmar 7900 on the bench that arrived in pieces. It had a aftermarket big bore kit on it, and someone had installed a Solo crank in it. Had they taken a few minutes to clearance the case for the rod, it might have been a runner. But, they didn't. The rod bearing was fried, the case had a trench dug into from the big end dragging against it.....which sent junk up through the transfers trashing the top end.

Exactly.
I'm surprised they were even able to get it to turn over. All the ones I've put in had to be clearanced or else they wouldn't even go in.
The counterweights cleared without issue. Only the rod was touching. But it was rubbing hard.

These two don’t. One of these came from Germany, the other from @Powerstroke Cowboy. I measured them both, though it’s hard to be accurate.

It’s possible they’re actually 37mm, but I don’t think so.

Yea, the ten I ordered from Germany did not have that line in them.

Your right. It's hard to get an accurate measurement on them.

The case needed clearanceing and the cylinder needed raised to work with the 681 crank.
