Chatted with a friend who mentioned he was at an auction. Asked him to look for saws for me. He called back on two of them and I told him to go for it. Well, he got them both, and I’m a happy dog! I never thought I’d see a 242XP at a farm auction, but.......you never know!

Farm auctions are a good source for good old saws, Farmers around here are funny, they like to buy the biggest baddest thing they can get. I've found quite a few 266s, a few 372s, a 281, a Sachs 143, and several of the big old poulan/craftsman machines. Most of the time the saws tend to have a lot of life left in them.
