I just wanted to let community know @stihled aka ed jiskra passed away this morning from cancer. I have known for a while he was sick but didn't want to say nothibg. He never posted much just in parts and saws for trade and sale. He was a great man. God xalled him home today. His wife texted me 30 min ago. I will be in touch with his wife to see if anything is needed. I'd like to try to possibly start some kind of something to maybe help them if needed. I know I've butted heads with a few members here. But ed was. A great guy and never asked for a thing and waz a great Christian men and a father and a gusband he was 59.

Good on you for letting us kbow and trying to do something to help the family. You may have bumped heads with some here. I highly doubt anyone would hold a grudge on you especially with something like this. I must say i look at you as abetter man trying to help the family and would quickly look past any issue we couldve ever had. (We have no issue) incase you wondered. Send my prayers to the family and hope he didnt suffer too much before god got him home.

Did a few deals with Ed and he was always a very fair guy. I got the impression that he loved to work and be outdoors; he felt confined by his regular job. Fifty nine is waay too young!
You nailed it with that comment. He hated working in that factory he loved being in the woods killing trees and taking lumber to the mill. He also grew hey in the spring and summer. He had a dairy farm there at one time too,he was very fair to deal with he'd give you the shirt off his back, I bought 2 sawz from him at once the 044 I got I paid in full and he said pay me when you can on 036 the first time we met and talked on the phone. He trusted me and said he could tell I was a family man and a man of my word. I said buddy your to nice your gonna get burned one day.

I got my prostrate cancer cut out and I'm still cutting wood at 70, but 59, damn that just doesn't seem fair for a good man to leave his family behind.

Perhaps a reminder for all of us to live our lives as the next day may be our last. Condolences to the family, may they have the strength to pick themselves up and keep going.
