Not seeing a 20" version of this nor an affordable version compared to the lightweight Sugihara, is the Stihl really worth the money over the Sughara should i find a 20" ES Light?
Just an example and I hope this answers your question.....
A 28" ES Light weighs less than a 20" standard Rollomatic ES

I'm at the other corner of VA. The muffler mod isn't too bad to do. Some heat and some time and they're decatted

I never tried the Stihl or Oregon lightweight bars but they sound nice.

The Japanese lightweight bars are really nice though. They last a long time and might not be as light but they are a good quality bar.

Stihl 20" ES light bars are available. I recently had my local dealer ordered me one up. I think it was about $90 and it sure feels nice on the 036. I can get you a part number tomorrow if you need it.

Another lightweight bar option is to use laminated bars. A stihl E bar, for instance, would be about the same weight as a lightweight ES or a reduced weight Oregon. Obviously they're of inferior quality, but the price is much lower too. An 18" laminated bar would be a cheap lightweight setup on your 6400, and would handle most bucking tasks. Swap out for a 20-24" only when needed.

Exactly, then send it off to a porter and you'll have your 70cc saw in a light package.

Wow. Didn't know that's how you got that scar you showed in the other thread.
