So I had a lightbulb moment today. My .325 k095 bars seem to be very hit or miss on oiling.

I saw @Timjus was doing some bar mods for a different platform, but had a common issue as mine.

All I did was cut a plug for the hole opposite of the adjuster screw. What it does is keeps the oil from running down and out by the bar stud. Apparently many bars have the groove cut deep enough that it pokes through the hole for the adjusting screw.

Depending on relationship of the oil hole to adjuster hole. You may or may not have a issue. But these gb k095 bars have been pretty frustrating to get oiled properly. The little wooden plug has increased the oil to the bar groove at least 10x. I can actually turn the oil pump down if I wish now.

So, every time you flip bar, you need to change plug location.

On a Dolmar PS-6100 the k095 bar oiler hole is too high, thus only 1/2 of it lines up with the oiler output groove on the saws case.

The fix is to grind the bars oiler hole open DOWNWARD.
That is the only mod I do on my k095 bars.
I never felt the tensioning hole was an issue.

On D009 bars I grind the oiler hole open sideways, big improvement and maybe why I never felt that my large frame Dolmar saws lack oiling capacity even on my 36" bar.

It's the simple things.
Instead of increasing pressure, rather decrease resistance.

Go to to test out my 395 today and of course all the bar oil is running off the dawg instead of the bar tip. Jinxed…

At least the dawg won't overheat in that dessert dried stuff You're cutting.
Just spit on the bar tip every now and then, problem solved!

Bar oiler hole not lining up with case oiler groove?

Or crud between the clamping surfaces.
