Also if anyone is wondering.. the chain adjuster was left off on purpose... because I do not have one for it. HL is out of them and I have 4 on order from China. They are stuck in New York right now.. as soon as they get here I can fully tune the saw under load.

Where is the adjuster that was on it? Apparently 51/55 adjusters are candy that everyone loves to eat! Dave was out of them too... This owner has several 55's and is ALWAYS asking for spare adjusters. His crews do not back them off when reinstalling the bars and just tighten the bar nuts. It eats the edge off the adjuster tang and bends the bolts... ruins them. Hence... I ordered 4.

That's no good. First time I've been told about it. Thanks.

It's like it was scaled down by 15-20%. Look at the plastic throttle lever bumper. It's short too. Was a bit of a WTF moment. I was thinking maybe it's for another similar model like a 254/257/261/262 or something.

Nice photos, Jimmy

You cooked a meal while putting this saw together?

What did you use to scrape off the old case gasket ... die grinder?

Why the photo of the two throttle links?

Have you tested my 288 at Randy's yet?

Is there anything I've forgotten?
That's a Lotta questions

Sawhawgz, ruining the internet since 2012...
