I had two of these. I can see what the status is on them.

If David doesnt, I have a 2054 cylinder and piston I traded out for a 2055. It should bolt right up.

I appreciate that but mine is in good shape engine wise just the body parts, handles and fuel/oil tanks got crushed.

It’s a different series. The 2050 was base on the partner 400. Husky made a 40 45 and 49. I don’t know what versions jonsered made other than the 2050.
They are a clamshell motor. Good features on it but the 2051/54/55 were pro level of the time.

Not intending to derail OP Ross but while the All Knowing minds are in close proximity. I Have a 2054 that has an oil tank seeping out of the front tank seem I bought it that way .. Did Husky make a saw interchangeable to the 2051/2054 /2055. I am contemplating Q Bond ...OR..
A fix that would work? Not beyond swapping out for a different tank
Previous owner tried JB weld but gave up on it and He just bought a new saw.

I dont see why JB wouldnt work. Have one up my shed that has a repaired tank. I think when I was talking to Ben he said that he used JB on it. You gotta make sure its clean and down to the metal.

If you could find a later 2054 tank that would work too. They had the problems with the earlier model. I can look at mine for approxmate years. Have 3 of them, 1 with a bad tank. I think I saw one on ebay for about $30, cylinder included.

I know the thread is old, but just in case, and FYI, I'm always on the lookout for 2050s and brothers.
