I got to run one of those last year at the Spring GTG(belonged to our local sawmill owner,Virgil)and I was quite impressed. Serious torque and power!!!!Picked this up from Carl Miller. Seems to run very well 32" bar 404. View attachment 30615 View attachment 30616 View attachment 30617
Did jonsereds ever make a direct equivalent to the husqvarna 242 or 42 special
As in later years there have been a few crossovers
No, that never happened - and they didn't have any other model in the same "class" either.
Hi Sawtroll! Long time no see!No, that never happened - and they didn't have any other model in the same "class" either.
Thanks for that
Then there is the question of what Jonsered model was replaced by the 2147 - seen in retrospect there is little doubt that it was the 2055, despite an 8 cc difference (45.0 vs. 53.2).Most of the time the 242/242xp was made there wasn't any "automatic" function that a Husky model lead to a Jonsered model, even though it happened - and in this case it never happened before the 242 was replaced by the 346 - and the Jonsered 2147.
