Here is a 630 that I converted to 272xp. It has a Farmertec piston and cylinder with a caber ring, base gasket deleted. Ports are widened slightly and polished with 180 grit emery. It has 5 tanks of fuel through it since rebuilt. It has an AM 260a Tillotson carb on it for a 272xp. Everything was a direct swap. I also have the original oem 630 piston and cylinder with it in good shape. Muffler has been opened up and a new spark screen installed. It is missing the brake band and a sticker or 2. Shows 160 psi on my gauge.
