This saw had swallowed the choke screw. It mangled the piston so I tore it down cleaned it up and swapped the piston for a new afm slug. I opened the ports up a little while I was in there.

they made a husky 40,45,49
Jonsered 2045 2050. I think the 40 Cc was 2040

Thanks David, i love learning. Weird thing is ive heard of a 2050 but not a 49. Looks like a lil ripper. Is that an open or closed port design?

Open port.
It looks like a 44 mm wild thing cylinder

Thanks for the pics! Looks like a crazy impulse design thats a first for me seeing one like that. That didnt last long, looks like its off to a new home

The 40cc was the 2041.
The 2040 was the big brother to the 2036.
