Yeah should only be available for sale outside of the US though. Robin Wood can get them though and I believe he said they have a smaller venturi carb for more torque.

First time I noticed this model, was just curious as I heard nothing of them here in Ireland,
are they Mtronic, the one in the video started up with a good bit of smoke though.

Is the venturi like a collar that can be ground out of the carb.
I have never seen a 661 close up, so no idea if its a 661 case, or a new design
being tested under the 651 badge.

Kinda slow, if it’s just a smaller carbed 661 definitely no point in it for here. If it’s smaller bore maybe it would work out for the porters like an ms650 did. Looks like a hard nose bar too so not helpful for the cut speed plus looks tuned super fat.

On the Stihl USA website, they are calling it a 661 Magnum, same bore and stroke. Just no M-Tronic.

Nope different saw than the 651, just stated to resell the non mtronic version in the states. They sold them here years ago when they had issues with the early 661’s

Discussed years ago, here or on some other site:
The MS 651 has a thicker cylinder gasket.
Low fuel quality yields higher probability of misfiring.
The thicker gasket reduces the compression and hence the probability of misfiring is lower.

That is...
if STIHL offers the MS 651 in your country, your gasoline might not be the best stuff to get, maybe.
