For the compression release.

13mm combination wrench will ‘tease’ it in, but impossible to tighten properly.

1/2” deep well socket won’t get past the tin collar.

There is a Stihl made tool for it. I use that or a scrench as it think enough to work normally.

In 3/8 drive deep sockets, my 6 point socket will not work (too thick), but my 12 point works fine. I believe both 13 mm or 1/2" will work.

I probably have 15 sets of deep sockets between work and home and only a few set at bored deep. There are a few sets with next to no center hole that barely fit my socket rack before I modified them.

The craftsman socket set my dad bought in the 80s has the right od on the 13mm 3/8 drive deep socket.
