Doesn't sound like there's a decision to be made. The 461 is one of the best 70cc class saws ever made, IMHO.

My 261 brought home a German boyfriend today. Blsnelling pushed me over the edge, and I got a shiny new 461R

I think not, the full chissel x-cut is still not available here in germany. I will test the saw's with a brand new 3/8 RSC Stihl chain + 8pin (stihl bar adapter on the husky) in 24" dry hard beech.

Here we go.... Sorry guy's i had not much time left on the table the past few weeks. My planned test was not possible and complicated by the fact that my mate really need his 462 for working in his arborist business. He sold his former workhorse, the 562xp because of the 462.

But here's is the vid from my quick test with the stock after some break in time

The ported one is now back at work for quite two and half weeks. Run's great so far, no issues.

After x-mas i will dig into the second 462 (looking for more). And still hoping for a 572xp to compare, maybe in the end of january.

Hi Steph, you did a great job on the 462! I can't wait to feel a 462 HWK at real life! Hopefully we can meet for a further shootout.
I agree with you, the MS 462 is a big hit and propably unbeatable for Husqvarna - if the 462 run as well.
