I’d never spend on a YETi, ridiculous IMHO. But if they weren’t great, they’d be out of business. Hype only gets you so far if you don’t live up to the legend.

Ive gotten 2 over the years as gifts.

I’ve got 2 Yeti products, the bag my wife used and the large cooler-IDK quart size but it’s 3 feet long by 2x2 ft approximately. Just took a trip and it kept all of my meats cold with a single bag of ice for 5 days. It’s pretty darn amazing.

But, for resting a brisket. I use a cheap plastic Igloo and it does the job just fine.

Yetis are built in China and have been for a while. I prefer ORCA. Their coolers are built in the US and is a TN based company. They were being rotomolded in TN up until 3 years ago or so. Orion is made by Jackson Kayak and they work well as well, but they don’t have any big models. I’ll look into the cooler you mentioned.

Best question here is...Did ORCA simply go the 'more profit' route like most all have, and now their products are mfg'd in Chinawan? Or did they simply relocate the mfg'ng from TN to somewhere else here in the US?

I have received 2 coolers from our diamond blade suppliers in the last couple years. One is a yeti and the other is a Grizzly. Both perform very well with ice retention. Grizzlys are made in Decorah Ia.
