I don't know, but....I have a TM 064 with a meteor piston because he prefers the meteor piston over oem

Meteor has wider skirts than OEM, which is nicer for porting on the 064.

That's is true definitely makes it nicer to make the ports wider.

If you want the exhaust port a tad wider, then yes.

Not specifically for that reason, but it does run well

This MS 650 is sporting a brand new OEM piston.
So, for the original parts liker folks, it's stihl a good runner.

If you do decide to widen to a Meteor piston you might not be able to go back to an OEM.
Just something to ponder before you dive in.

I reckon it's above 9000rpm as I don't hear it much when they bog down a bit in hard wood .

Wish I had one of those instead of two of the same cylinders like this lol but at least I have a spare if I need it.
