No but I’m gonna on the next order because I’m going to build a couple 288 cylinders on the 272 bottom ends

I didn't think a 288 cylinder would work on a 272 crankcase. I think a 281 maybe will.

And yes with work and base trimming the cylinder will work I’ve done it I have 54mm 272 pistons and 55mm big bore replate pistons there wiseco pistons and they will work in the 7900 Sachs big bore and 044/046 setup too

I must have been misinformed. I had read the bolt pattern of a 288 cylinder wouldn't fit on a 272 case, and the stroke was longer on one of them, thanks for clearing that up.

You have to slot the hole on the base and cut the base to fit the 272 saw it’s not exact fit but will work you have to use the these pistons to do it because of the rod the 272 is 12mm and the 281/288 is 13mm

Ok, so the information I read is mostly true because it it not a direct bolt on without modification. Thanks for the info.

Are you going to use the 281/288 crank, stroke the 272 crank, or run the 272 crank as is and alter the port timing to deal with the 4mm shorter stroke (compared to the 281/288 crank that their cylinders were designed for)?

I'm interested in one of these pistons for something else and a long 60mm like the 3120 but checking all my options. Might need something shorter than that in deck height.... not sure yet. Still have some math and another piston to test fit and see where stuff lands.

Any word yet on the 880 clones?

Ive been keeping a close eye on the 880 clones. Been wanting to do one with pretty much everything oem but the cases and handle.

They have just about everything out except for the tank/ handle assembly, top plastics, and break handle. might be one or two smalls that I may be missing.
