I have a Husqvarna 3120xp with 66” double ended Granberg bar I’m going to use for the first time to try and mill some 4’ wide logs. Is there anything I need to do for the oiler to make the holes line up? I believe the bars made for large stihl mount and it came with circle spacers to adapt it to Husqvarna mount wasn’t sure of I need to do anything for the oiler as well. I’ve only milled much smaller logs up until now if anyone has any tips it would be appreciated.

Certainly you want to make sure there is a clear path from the saw oiler slot to the bar groove. Enlarge existing or drill new holes in the bar to match. Having an external oiler at the far end of the bar would be a good idea too. What’s the part number for the bar? I can ask them about oil alignment and get you a price on the oil bottle.

I ran it and it’s dumping oil out of another oiler hole. It seems to be oiling but looks like the holes don’t like up as good as they could not sure how to do that. I also have an aux oiler as well.

What was the remedy?
I played around with the adjustment on the helper handle I think that changed where the bar sat on the oiler hole a little. I usually use a 42” bar with this saw and oil just drips down the whole bar so it’s really easy to see. I had to look a little harder but I saw oil pooling in the bottom of the helper handle so it seems to be piling fine now and I’ll also have an auxiliary oiler on it as well.
