Only drawback to the 44's is the lack of replacement ignition parts that tend to fail on this series, otherwise as others have said, great little saws....;)

yeah, I think he told me he did have one. I remember Durand made a 346 piston work way back when

No, at least not out of the box but I forget why
oh my, I had forgotten it.
I'll give them Huskies a call tomorrow if you want me to figure out if there is new pistons in their stock.
I got one used 42ZD5 and one used 42ZD2 top end, both are yours if you want them Chris

I forgot about it too Tor. All I need is a piston, if there are new ones available, great. If not, I'll work something out with you on a used one.

we will figure it out Chris
Do you know the production year of your 44?
According Huskies IPL they only made one size piston after 84-85 (#501 67 88 01). Before that it was A B D system (# 501 67 88 03,04,05)

With you being in Greenland, and @Tor R being in Norway, it's probably just a matter of a ferry ride across the ditch...

I was going to try to put a 44 cylinder on a 140s but after I purchased it, I realized the 44 cylinder is open port and my 140s saw is closed port. So now I am stuck with a cylinder I can't use.

Buy a 44 project saw. Problem solved.

You're welcome.

Your 140S jug, is it Mahle 40 ZN 20?

I don't know, I haven't looked. I'm not home to look. The scoring on my cylinder appears to be cuts in the chrome instead of transfer.

according Huskies IPL those 140s had A B C D E pistons
If their IPL is correct 140's pistons is the same piston they used on 240, but they have different part number for kit set.

Lets see what you figure out when you get home

Sounds good. I am finishing up my last semester of college. Graduation is May 5 and so I have a few days break between finals and graduation.
Thanks
