Husqvarna 353 parts saw or rebuilder, decent shape. Piston looks excellent through exhaust port, BUT, one of the threads for muffler bolts is stripped. Saw is dirty and muffler is dented, only one muffler bolt included. I also have a new 353 Cylinder kit available as well. Asking $200 for saw and $125 for cylinder kit, or $300 for the whole shootin match, plus shipping.

I'm now working on a 350 that has lousy compression (55 psi) and won't start, of course. Looks like it needs a complete top-end rebuild. I've done this to two others and my own 353. Never easy and always a challenge, but I figure these saws are worth fixing. My sleeves are rolled up. Any suggestions? TIA.

My rebuild is complete. Compression measures 145 psi. Saw starts and runs perfectly. Bought a new carb but the old one is working fine. Not much is more rewarding than a successful repair. Cheers!

Sold my Husky 350 and the new owner loves it. He gave me $250 and two other saws to restore. That was less than what the saw was worth, but I seldom used it. Chain loop was brand new. He's a new local friend and that's worth something also. I also added a shop-made muffler support:

I modified the one sold for my 353. It works. Thanks for looking.
