Does anyone know what bearing I actually need for the pto side of a Husqvarna 346 there is several numbers listed and all of them say bb1-3023 on them. What is the difference between these 3 part numbers besides some are double the price

5254 342 01 and 05 ending is usually a change in the bearing or seal done by Husky, they increase last digit when a change is done to a part number or they create a complete new number.Cant tell for the other one. I checked on 2011 model,it gives 536789801 ,so you can use any of them. The Pto side bearing is different from Mag side.

Husqvarna changed manufacturers and updated the bearing most recently, prior to that I believe a cage material change was made

New bearings are made by HQW and seals are by KOK. Picture from my latest 346XPG build.
Google KOK International and HQW bearings and search for manufactiring facilities and you will find out that Husqvarna is cutting corners in quality and manufacturing costs (who isn't these days?). 😒
In memory of SKF OEM bearings.
Lately I have also found out quality of plastic is different than old parts. Hard to explain but new parts look and feel different.

Old bearings were blowing often and they had a large batch that were bad brand new, that’s the reason for change. That’s also why the cage looked different and how the whole new manufacturer.
