Did anyone try the foggy sail fix on it? Do the flywheel fans bolt on the 285s like the dolmars?

No, 2100's have the SEM CD and the 285 has the Bosch.
Actually the 2100 could have either the Bosch or the SEM ignition, as well as one other, the name of which escapes me right now. Each required the flywheel unique to that unit, and there were two pawl starters on some, three pawl on others. It ain't simple.
I'll check today and see if I have a spare Bosch unit.

I don't have one as it turns out. In fact, if I ever get around to making saws out of all these parts, I'll probably be looking for one myself.
I have a 285 sitting here, and, as I remember, it's had the Foggy Sail treatment.
