Husqvarna 266 SE into bigger saw , how ?

Hi Guys
ive picked up the husky 266 se but have to replace the P/C on it so thought i might see if i can get more cc out of it to mill with
Any advise and help app thanks

Look for 272xp conversions... Youll need a few extra parts. I did a 268 but im not sure if theres more for the 266. Not a 2 series expert....

I do not think that a 266se is as easy to covert as 61/268/272, as the later is all on the same crankcase. I have 2 of the 266 se they are a good saw in my opinion but probably not up to milling on a regular basis.

yes I agree as for not milling and keeping it a std 266 now

You would need a 272 p and c, intake block, and carb bolts. Possibly a carb if yours is the older 18mm version. Reuse your filter elbow and filter so it fits under the cover. Difference in cases is only two piece ignition versus one piece which means you have to keep your top cover.

Thats exactly what I did..
Very angry torque monster, I like mine alot.. I used a bigger carb also.
