Good deal any idea how long it will be before it's delivered, or do you have a tracking number.

Received the saw today, I removed covers just to look at things, does have the two piece ignition. Installed the bar and chain. I filled the chain lube reservoir. Did not run it yet as I need to buy some Husky TC oil maybe tomorrow. Looks to be in good condition, chain looks new, here are some photos. Thanks Caleb.image.jpegimage.jpeg image.jpeg has good compression and spark. image.jpeg

Looks good! I should have known it was a 2 piece. Especially since it was an older model. I had looked at pics online, and it without taking the cover off, it looked like a one piece. Must have seen different pics! Guess I should have looked farther! I've only sharpened the chain once, so pretty well new! I think you'll like it even more when you put it in wood!

Hello, good morning. Early yesterday evening, I switched the chain around, fueled up the chainsaw with the husky two cycle mix, took a little while to start (just needed to suck fuel into lines and such) pulled the rope again and it fired off, wow it's a good running saw. I like it, I like it allot. Trimmed up some trees around the yard just to test it and it cut through them like butter. Thanks Caleb, good purchase, now to log cutting and the work begins.

Hello Caleb, used the saw this weekend, it's awesome.
I need to ask a question about another 61 I have, am repairing it, just installed a new two piece ignition in it, still not getting any spark. Any ideas as what could be wrong?
Or should I create another thread and get others opinions.

Have you set your gap?

Have you set your gap?
Yes set the gap, I will try to set it up closer to the flywheel, but the coil has slots the mounting screws go through that are at the end of there travel so might not be the problem. I'm wondering if the gray wire that connects to the kill switch should be grounded, in other words the kill switch should be in the on position and not in the off position, the way I have it now. Although many I have seen need to be in the off position in order for the coil to spark the spark plug, with this two part ignition it could be just the opposite. I'll try this out tonight to see if this is so or not and let you know, thanks.

I used a feeler gauge to set it, still could be a little closer though. Even though a pin could shear, I would think there should still be a spark, there is no spark at all, but your right, I would not be able to start the engine because of being out of time. Thanks guys, this all does help to eliminate possibilities. I'm still thinking it could be the kill switch position, I'll try my theory out when I get home and let you know.

Yes, it's good, thanks Landmark. Well I tested my theory, not at all true, no ground needed except to kill the spark. So I ended up taking the new coil of the two piece ignition out, the one without the spark plug wire, filing the mounting holes to elongate them a tad more so as to be able to adjust this coil closer to the flywheel. Reinstalled it, made a closer adjustment, now I have spark. I might be able to slide a piece of paper between the coil and flywheel now, maybe not, I did not try it, I'll have to put a feeler gauge to it and see. It started but runs high, I think I have either a carb or air leak problem now, one problem solved more to go. I'll start a new thread for this, hope you can sell your other saw Caleb, thanks again guys.
