Hey fellas. I'm wondering what ignitions will work in the 2100? I have an ignition from a 285 that is a slightly different Shape then the one in the 2100. They are both type GA SEM. The back side of the flywheels seem to be different also but I'm told it will work. Any input? Check the pic.20160311_122322.jpg

I've run into both of those set ups. The one on the bottom seems to be the rarer of the two. I never tried swapping ignitions as it looked to me they did not line up the same. But I could be wrong.

They seem to line up ok to me but still not sure. I would guess when swapping from one type to another you would also need to swap the flywheel?

That's what I did. I kept the coil and flywheel paired up. I had several taken apart because of this mystery. Think I had three types of flywheel n sem coils. Two of which you have. I posted the rare one you have and not many had much to say about it.

Ya it's a mystery forsure. No one really knows. I just hear that any sem type GA coil will work with any sem flywheel but I don't think that's true.
