What are the initial carb settings high side and low.

First pic gives you column headings..second one should be relevant to the saw you’re looking for. That chart has been a good starting point for me

Finally got it running after screwing with it off and on for two years.

Low at 2 turns, high at 4 [emoji15].

Turned in the low just a touch for a stable idle.

Is the coil rev limited? Seems to hit a wall at not much speed.

Maybe the muffler is clogged. [emoji848]

Mine just barely 4 strokes at 2 turns out on the high, turns lots of revs, 2 3/4 turns on the low. Love my 335.

Took it to the Iowa GTG and messed with it more.

Got the carb dialed in lots better.

Actually can be a useful cutter.[emoji106]

Saw is rather unpleasant to use in a long cut without leather glove on your right hand. [emoji35]

At first I thought it was exhaust burning my hand but realized it was air off the cylinder.

It desperately needs a deflector of some sort at the gap between the housing and crankcase.

Glad you got it dialed in. My stepson has a pile of small linbwood, and i find it excllant for dealing with That kind of thing.
I never noticed the heat problem.

how do you find getting parts for these over your way? ive one in the shop at the minute that ive rebuilt but I can't find a damn clutch cover for it without buying the whole brake assembly. the rest of the saw is immaculate for a 1994 saw but the cover has a chunk missing

Parts are dear for them. Everything seems to be one off. The above could use a flywheel because the ‘key’ is sheared off.

I’m not spending another dime on the ‘money pit’.

Iffin’ I wanted to deal with evilbay it could be parted out for more than its worth as a whole. [emoji57]

I know the feeling, this one has cost £80 for exhaust cover, plug cover, carb kit, chain tensioner and basic service parts! Absolute killer considering their value.
