For the record when I *b-word about 40 below this winter please remind ne we don't get hurricanes. I can't imagine a worse weather event to experience.

She got here about 10pm last night. I'm thinking if this hurricane travels the center of Fla, by the time it gets to mid-Ga, probably wont be much more than a Cat 1 or good tropical storm...over land just sucks the punch out of 'em. I hope it turns out this way anyhow brother.

Praying for you all. I know FWC has many officers still in Texas from that storm. We were told to prepare to go to FL if you all need assistance. I have the jon boat prepped. I have a pallet loaded with water, gas/oil, and other items ready to load in the truck. I have a lot of friends in that area that is hunkering down or driving north today. Stay safe.

I wont flood if i wouldnt have been in a work related accident id have gone to texas to help i have a big jon boat an excel viper

Just got back from deployment to Texas for Mathew. Returned to Orlando just in time to start boarding up the house. Scheduled to be back on duty Sunday/Monday. It's getting busy out, but most people by me are still being civil.

Just getting my saws ready, generator ready and working on the house. Supposed to send a 461 to Randy this week, might be a little postponed. Glad I got my 7900 back from Miller Mod Saws.

Im waiting on some stuff from other members id wait the mail will be screwed up

Shes comin thank god for my good neighbor he boarded me up and wired my generator plug for me since i cant walk and in a wheelchair from a broken leg. Surgery and shoulder rotator cuff surgery

I am in Ocala. Its shaping up to be worse here than what we got in 2004 with Francis and Jean. Back then we were out of power for 18 out of 30 days in Sept. I am more prepared and the utility company is more prepared. Flooding is not an issue for us its trees hitting power lines. Nervous but not scared. Just mentally prepared to deal with the clean up - aftermath.

Im kinda in same situation no flooding its trees ,power,im in polk lake county line an hour from tampa were gonna get probably 80 mph winds in 04 charley was our worst

Today my wife counted a convoy of 71 Pole Setting and bucket trucks, headed east, as we were heading west, on hwy 70 in Mo.

Just talked to friends in St Pete and Clearwater. They're boarded up and as ready as the can for this. They're gonna have the eye of it come straight over them. I used to live on the beach outside St Pete. For once I'm glad to be in the Northeast.

Yes st pete is in it thats pinellas county inlaws are in ruskin in hillsborough there in bad shape im jusrmt northeast of hilllsborough an hour

* Extreme Wind Warning for...
Lower Keys in Monroe County in Florida...

* Until 915 AM EDT

* At 617 AM EDT, National Weather Service Doppler radar indicated
extreme winds, associated with the eyewall of Hurricane Irma, were
moving into the Lower Keys.

This is an extremely dangerous and life-threatening situation!

* Locations impacted include...
Key West, Bahia Honda Channel Bridge, Big Coppitt Key, Boca Chica
Channel Bridge, Niles Channel Bridge, Spanish Harbor Channel
Bridge, Boca Chica, West End Of Seven Mile Bridge, Saddlebunch Keys
and Sunset Key.

This includes US 1 between mile markers 0 and 40.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Treat these imminent extreme winds as if a tornado was approaching
