Again, how does it perform? Smooth, you had to lean on it, it was super fast, say sumtin.
Haven’t been able to play yet, been either porting, machining, or sharpening more chains. I’ve only got this weekend and next weekend before the Ct gtg. Probably just going to have to clean gullets and set rakers at Dans.

I’m sure that they’re going to be smoothe as silk and feed like a wild, hungry, rabid wolverine.

That is a damn nice tooth. The way I see it, if a (new) Simington 451C can make a tooth like that for basically a $1000.00 investment, I would have to think long & hard about spending way more for a (used) NLA Silvey.

Thank you Sir

Yup, I’d get a new Simington before I’d try looking for something else used

Took a while to get them settings dialed in to cut that tooth, The owner allowed me to play around a little bit, but there’s no denying that it looks pretty darn good

Second attempt at square. Converting some round to square. First chain looked like a butchered up hack job but didn’t cut to bad for what it looked like. Five strokes per tooth. Any advice or thoughts appreciated. I haven’t cut with this chain yet. Just finished it today.

Take the chain and hold it so you can snap a picture like below, if you can. Then we can see better

Those are some aggressive angles Aaron. Keep your guides high to start.

Clean the gullet so your not fighting the bottom edge of the file.
