This is what's making me want to give it a shot... anyone ever file low profile peco lol. I think someone filed peco around the 40 page mark in this thread just can't rember. Lol

One or two strokes, just enough to get a corner. It's very aggressive like this, much smoother when you get the side plate

Any chance we can get a video of it being done or a picture of the file and angle that it's in. How well does it work on the smaller saws?

Yeah I watched a few of his videos. Same concept apply to the smaller chain?

I think the smaller .325 is more difficult. I haven't done any 3/8 picco.

How's the 200 t pull it? Is there a point where two sharp actually slows the saw down on the smaller ones or just too grabby? I guess what I'm asking is the time put into the chain worth the Gaines?

I can't speak for 200T, but for all other saws, you will see gains in performance. Square filing stays sharp longer, and saws seem to cut easier.
I don't see why the 200T wouldn't see same types of gains.

Awesome the reason I ask is because once I learn how to square file. It seems you kind of be a fool not to run Square file chain. More longevity and better cutting saws what's not to like about that.

Takes ALOT of practice to get good at it. Practice on converting older chains to square, so if you ruin it, no biggie. I kind of ruined a chain practicing.
You will see the guys that really know their stuff in here! They are helpful and give good guidance. I am still a rookie like you. LOL
