How do I get paint off recoil?

Hey folks, what do y’all recommended I use to remove the paint or permanent marker off this recoil? PO did it. Doesn’t need to be perfect.

2x goo gone, and maybe some choice words if its stubborn

It depends some on what the paint is. Isopropyl alcohol works on much of it. If that doesn't work, maybe acetone or paint thinner. With the more aggressive cleaners, experiment on a spot to make sure it doesn't also take the original paint off.

If it is a sharpie marker, go over it with a dry erase marker, that will break down the sharpie and allow you to wipe it off. May take a couple of passes. Worked great for me.

I use the same marker over it and it wipes off.

That looks like a paint marker to me.

Google the removal method.

Might need paint stripper and a rag. Careful not to melt the plastic with the solvents.
