Ok guys working on a saw a buddy drug out of an old barn. First find was bar oil in the fuel tank. Second find was bad primer bulb. Third find was a bad fuel line from the primer to top of carb. Also replaced fuel filter. Saw will now fire haven't went much further until i figure out the issue below

So here is the problem. When pumping the primer bulb fuel squirts out of a small hole next to the oil tank pressure line. What is this hole and why the heck does it do this. When i say squirts I mean it, hit me in the forehead last night the first time it did it. Here is the pic. The hole is right next to the card adjusting screws. IMG_0008.JPG

I hate to hear that, these are such a pain to tear down. Doesn't look like a carb kit is available. Will have to get the carb pulled and scour ebay.

They’re not that bad to work on really.
I’d rather strip a Super 2/ XL than wrench on a 441 or 200T any day!

Someone else has mentioned that I may have routed the lines to the primer bulb backwards. I will try that when I get home.

They used 4 different carbs on this model and all 4 carbs use a different kit. Most of them are still available at a dealer, but they're all available online.
RK-36HK for type HK-27A,
RK-32HK for HK-27B,
K10-HDC for Walbro,
The Zama C1Q needs identified for kit number.

Ok guys flopped the fuel lines at the primer. No more squirting. Fired saw up and was running well after tweaking the carb. Saw was not oiling, verified both oil lines and the filter were clear. Changed duckbill, still no oil. Stretched a balloon over the oil tank and could see slight pulsing but the ballon did not fill.

Then the gosh darn thing died and acts like it is not getting any fuel to carb. Also the primer bulb is very firm and will not fill. Fuel filter is clear.

So I assume it is time to pull it apart and look at the carb. I am assuming there is a diaphram for pressure to the oil tank?

BEST ANSWER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have a large peach orchard here that all they use are the little XL's for trimming. I replace fuel/oil lines every couple of years and they don't quit. They really are not hard at all to work on and I'd 10x rather do these than a 441, 200T, or a Mini Mac.

My dad had a Super 2 as his only saw for like 20 years. That thing put some huge trees on the ground and I learned to cut with it. It only quit when somebody backed a truck over it. Homie has been in the toilet now for quite awhile but I still have a lot of respect for what they used to be.
